Teachers will use the trays and magnetic letters during guided reading to implement word work into their lesson.
Students will be impacted by being able to manipulate words, identify letters by name and sounds using the magnetic letters and trays. Students will be able to participate during guided reading lessons that consist of word work activities for readers and non-readers.
The goal is to help students manipulate words and word patterns that moves into their long term memory. This will help them become a better reader and writer. The activities will include hands on exploration where they manipulate letters into words. The activities will take place during small group guided reading.
